ALFRED THE GREAT AND CROKER, November 1, 1901.
- Greece had her Alexander the Great, Russia her Peter the Great, Prussia her Frederick the Great, England her Alfred the Great, and America, in her chief city, the second of the world, has her Richard the-my God! What shall we write after that name? Write, that the historians may record and future generations read? There is no word in language adequate to the character and person of the chief ruler of this metropolis.
Conclusion:
- In this article written in 1901, we have clear evidence, that the Alexander the Great belongs to Greece.
